| 1. |
We believe in the Holy Trinity: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. |
| 2. |
We devoutly proclaim and submit to the unique and universal Lordship of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, humanity’s only Saviour from sin and judgment, who lived the life we could not live and died the death that we deserve. By his atoning death and glorious resurrection, he secured Salvation for all who come to him in repentance and faith. |
| 3. |
We believe Scripture to be the authoritative Word of God, containing all things necessary for teaching a righteous way of life; and as definitive and fixed proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. |
| 4. |
We uphold the four Ecumenical Councils and the three historic Creeds (Nicene, Apostles and Athanasian) as expressing the rule of faith of the one holy catholic and apostolic Church. |
| 5. |
We believe that the Church is called out by its Head, Jesus Christ, to share His transformational love to a lost world and to make disciples of all people, calling them to repentance, and baptizing them and teaching them to observe all that Jesus commanded. |
| 6. |
We uphold the Thirty-nine Articles as containing the true doctrine of the Church agreeing with God’s Word and as authoritative for Anglicans today. |
| 7. |
We affirm the Chicago-Lambeth Quadrilateral 1886/1888 that defines the Anglican Communion; we affirm The Solemn Declaration of 1893 that describes the relationship between the Church of England and Anglicanism in Canada; and we affirm the Jerusalem Declaration of GAFCON 2008 that re-enforces our Christian faith within the framework of traditional, historic and orthodox Anglicanism. |
| 8. |
We rejoice in our Anglican sacramental and liturgical heritage as an outward expression of faith in worship, and we uphold the 1662 Book of Common Prayer (BCP) as a standard of worship and prayer. We adopt the Kenyan Rite as a faithful contemporary model of that standard (and other adaptations may be adopted from time to time, provided they are acceptable to the Anglican Network in Canada, and loyal to the standard of the BCP). |
